For Australian local business owners

Your Google Ads account is probably wasting money right now.

And it will never tell you. It just quietly spends, month after month, while you assume that is what advertising costs.

This free guide shows you exactly where the money goes, and gives you a 40 point checklist so you can find the leaks in your own account in about ten minutes.

Read this bit first

Nobody sets out to waste it.

Here is how it happens.

You set the ads up yourself one evening, or you hand it to someone who said they would look after it. It runs. Money goes out. Some enquiries come in. Not many, but some.

And that is the trap. It works just well enough that you never look closely, and badly enough that you are quietly losing money every single month.

Google does not send you a warning. There is no red light on the dashboard. The account just keeps spending, and you keep assuming this is what advertising costs.

Then one day you actually open the reports and find out you have been paying for people searching "apprentice wages" and "how to become a mechanic".

That is a real account. Four out of every five clicks, gone to people who were never going to book him.

The difference

Most local accounts get every one of these wrong.

None of it shows up as a problem. It shows up as a high cost per lead, or nothing coming through, and you decide Google Ads does not work for your trade.

What's inside

Eight mistakes. Each one with the fix.

Plain English, no jargon, and a worked example from a real Australian trade or service business in every section.

  • Why the highest bidder usually loses, and how relevance can cut your cost per click roughly in half without touching a single bid.
  • The $10 a day trap. Why a small test budget gets you no result at all in most trades, and how to work backwards from your job value to a number that actually works.
  • The report sitting in your account right now that shows every junk search you have paid for. Most owners have never opened it.
  • Why your homepage is costing you money, and the five second test that tells you in about ten seconds whether it is.
  • The three tracking faults I find in nearly every account, including the one that makes your numbers look twice as good as they are.
  • The one number that tells you whether your ads are profitable or just busy. It is not clicks and it is not leads.
  • When you should not hire anyone at all, including me. Section 8 is a straight answer, not a soft sell.

Aaron, AJ Results
Who wrote it

I do this every day. That is the only reason to listen to me.

I am Aaron. AJ Results is a small Australian agency working with trades and local service businesses. We build and manage Google Ads and Meta ads campaigns from scratch, run local SEO and web builds, and consult with owners who would rather run their own ads but want someone experienced in their corner.

Everything in this guide came out of real accounts. None of it is theory, and none of it is copied off an American blog.

And I will tell you when not to hire me. If you are spending under about $1,500 a month and you will do the weekly hour, run your own ads. Section 8 says exactly that, in writing, in a document I am giving away to try and win your business.

My accountant has questions about that. I think it is the only honest way to do it.

No catch

It is free. There is no pitch in it.

Twelve pages, a 40 point checklist, and a section telling you when to do it yourself. Read it, use it, and if you never speak to me again that is a perfectly fine outcome.

P.S. If you are running ads right now, do one thing before you close this tab. Open Google Ads, go to Campaigns, then Insights and Reports, then Search Terms. That is every search you have paid for. Have a look at what is in there.

P.P.S. If it looks like a wall of nonsense, that is normal, and it is the fastest money you will ever save. The guide shows you what to do about it, or I will go through it with you for free.
