Meta Ads leads costing less than Google Ads, in Ben’s own words.
Leads that turn into paying customers more often.
Every new enquiry lands in the system Ben quotes and books from.
When Ben from Feltus Electrical first came to us, he had never run Meta Ads before. He wanted another reliable source of quality leads, and he needed new enquiries to reach him quickly so he could follow up before customers went elsewhere.
New enquiries now come straight into Ben’s system, making it easier to follow up quickly, quote and turn leads into paying customers. And according to Ben, the Meta Ads leads are cheaper than his Google Ads leads and converting better too.
Leads in one month
Cost per lead
Meta Ads, lead form campaign
Ben’s campaign started with EV charger installs, and that’s where the numbers get interesting. Across Australia, a home EV charger installation typically costs between $1,000 and $3,000 installed, with around $2,000 being typical. South Australia currently has no home EV charger rebate, so customers pay for the job themselves.
Put that next to Ben’s results. At $32.22 per lead, the whole month of ads cost $676.69. If just one of those 21 leads turned into a typical EV charger install, that single job would bring in around three times the month’s ad spend. Every job won after that is a bonus.
Installation costs are national industry averages from What’s The Damage (July 2026), not Feltus Electrical’s own pricing. Final costs depend on the charger, cable run and whether a switchboard upgrade is needed.
Two things made the difference. First, the video content. Instead of a wall of text, potential customers see the people behind the business and the work they do before they ever pick up the phone, so they arrive already trusting him. Second, speed. Because every lead lands straight in ServiceM8, Ben can follow up while the customer is still keen, and that’s where a lot of jobs are won or lost.
Not everyone who’s interested enquires the first time they see an ad. So the next stage is already built: a Meta Ads retargeting campaign that puts Feltus Electrical back in front of people who have already shown interest, including:
This is a warm audience. They already know who Ben is, which usually makes them cheaper to turn into leads than people seeing him for the first time. That’s why retargeting can bring the overall cost per lead down.
It also gets more out of the money Ben already spends on Google Ads. Plenty of people click an ad, look around the website and leave without enquiring. Retargeting gives Ben a second chance to win them, instead of that click being a one-off.
The campaign is ready to launch as soon as those audiences have built up enough data.
